I am an ethnographer of science, medicine, and the environment. Drawing on my background in biology (BSc), biotechnology (MSc), and science communication (Graduate Diploma), I did an MA in Social Studies of Science and Technology (STS), and I am completing PhD studies in the same field.
I am interested in medical and biomedical practices in contexts of war. My ongoing PhD research is an ethnography of the intersection between biomedicine, public health, warfare and the aspirational logics of peace in the Colombian context.
I am a member of the Centre for Imaginative Ethnography, Contributing Editor of Platypus (CASTAC's blog), and sporadic contributor to Cerosetenta.
